Hanky Panky Underwear Wars

Now, I don't know about you, but for me, when it comes to Underwear, I DISCRIMINATE.  I have tried sooo many brands out there.  When it comes to finding the perfect pair, it's reminiscent of finding the perfect man.  Some consist of fabrics that pill, stretch out, shrink, etc.  Some ride TOO high, too low; some are just ridiculously uncomfortable.  

Then, I was told about the brand Hanky Panky.  Several friends and acquaintances RAVED about them, but I hesitated, due to sticker shock.  Soon after, I stumbled upon a pair that were on sale, so I figured I'd give them a shot.  When I put them on (after washing them, of course) the Angels starting to sing!  Wow!  The stretchy lace is SO comfortable (They don't "dig" into your hips!) & they actually stay in place.  There is an assortment in Rise & a rainbow of colors to choose from.  One size does fit all, because there is a great amount of stretch; but plus size is also available on their website.

Eddie, The Great

A couple of weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to see Eddie Vedder live, on a limited tour, in Philadelphia, PA.  

When one see's Eddie Vedder live, either on his own or with Pearl Jam, it's an EXPERIENCE.  He is one of the most talented song writer's & musicians who've ever existed.   

For those of you who don't know, Eddie Vedder wrote & produced the music for the movie 'Into the Wild', sans Pearl Jam.  Some of my favorite songs from that Album/Soundtrack include 'Rise', 'Hard Sun' & 'Far Behind'.  If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing the movie or hearing these tunes, I highly recommend that you rent the movie & purchase the soundtrack.  If you enjoy listening to Pearl Jam, you'll love this Album!

Chic Greek!

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Eos, a Greek restaurant on Summer Street in Stamford, CT.  It was such a chic & relaxing Mediterranean experience.  I started off with some lovely Greek white wine, similar to a Pinot Grigio.  It was very light, crisp and refreshing.  It was lovely, paired with a Feta Cheese spread called Tyrokafetri, spread on some pita bread.  I then moved onto an Eggplant spread called Melitzanosalata and some Hummus that were just as delicious.

For dinner I tasted several items.  First I had Loukaniko, the most delicious and fresh sausage I've ever had, possibly due to the fact it's a pork sausage infused with citrus.  My mouth is watering just thinking about it!  I then had some delicious giant butter beans, called Gigantes, baked with fresh herbs in olive oil & tomato sauce.  Lastly, I had Char-grilled marinated Lamb Chops, with a side of fresh spinach sauteed in olive oil & garlic & a side of Seasoned Homemade Fries.  

It was such a refreshingly simple, relaxing & invigorating dining experience.  Between the fresh & chic European & Greek music wafting in the background, the warm hospitable staff (& owners) & the delicious, fresh food, I was honestly blown away.
