Snowflake Marshmallows

Whether you are looking to cozy up with your children and watch a movie or to enjoy some alone time reading a book, add these to a hot beverage; they're awesome! They're a whimsical take on the classic marshmallow. Make a cup of hot cocoa for the kids or add a new twist to the classic Irish Coffee or a new cocktail mentioned in the link below. Warm up sitting in front of the fire and enjoy. They can be purchased at: http://www.shopterrain.com/holiday-preview/snowflake-marshmallows

What's Old Is New Again

Tired of your old stand by champagne flutes? Need to freshen up the look of that glass of Prosecco? In an age of "Re-Purposing", I just love this idea. Hit up your parents, grandparents, great aunt or uncle. Ask if you can borrow a set of champagne glasses for this look or if they're even willing to part with them. It's old school redoux. This look is all the rage, a throw back to the old "Speak Easy". If no one is willing to part with their set, you can purchase a pair at Terrain or probably even a second hand store. Then cut up a ruby red grapefruit into wedges. Take a wedge, cut in half and run along rim of glass & then dip into a small shallow bowl of sugar, to quaintly coat rims of glasses. Pour glass of Champagne, Prosecco, Cava or any other bubbly you prefer and finish off with a wedge of grapefruit on rim. Cheers!

#Autumn

Autumn. Colors brighten. Colors fade. From green, to yellow, to orange, to red, to brown. Salmon. Mustard. Burnt sienna. Sage. Such delicious colors this time of year. Specific words come to mind. Harvest. Hearth. Honey. Hot apple cider. Cinnamon. Nutmeg. Pumpkin. Caramel. #Autumn. The majesty and splendor of it all.

If Lovin' The 80's Is Wrong...I Don't Wanna Be Right

I love these earrings. Chic, edgy, fun and fresh. I'm so excited to see a new look in Anthro's jewelry department. It was becoming a bit stale and too predictable when it came to their earring selection, which goes against everything they're all about. It looks as though they've taken cue from their predecessor and sister store Urban Outfitters. You know a piece is great, when you can picture wearing it with a multitude of things. I can see wearing these with a cocktail dress, a chic blouse and pants, a suit and of course a cool T, jeans and shoe boots. I NEED a pair of these, STAT! Check out Anthropologie.com for more info. Happy Shopping. :)

Chic. Devine. Rich. Lux. Reasons why I simply adore these pieces. It truly is all in the details. Home accessories are an inexpensive way to freshen up the look of your space. 99 Reasons & The Price Is 1

There are so many reasons why I adore Bar Rosso, that I honestly don't know where to begin. The ambiance is simply amazing. It's rustic, chic and warm, all at the same time. Whenever I walk in, I'm greeted by smiles from all of the staff and enveloped in the warmth of the fire from the brick oven in the back, the high ceilings, tiny retro lights in over sized glass vases or what could even be enormous decanters, the second floor, framed by a black wrought iron railing, brick walls, fantastic artwork & photographs, always freshly changed out & a larger than life television screen with the current important sporting event or cooking show on food network to whet your appetite. And, THAT'S just the ambiance.

The food, oh, the food. Tuna Tartare. Beef Carpaccio. The Wood Fired Pizza's. The Charcuterie Boards. The Bar Rosso Burger. My favorite of all has to be the Truffle Fries; they are absolute heaven and can be paired with any cocktail, beer or glass of wine. The saltiness, the sultry earthiness of the truffle, the crisp exterior and soft interior; they're simply to die for. The cocktails & wine selection are fab. The service is excellent. The most exciting thing of all is that they have a Happy Hour, Monday through Friday, from 4-7 pm, which means I can get "said fries" for FIVE DOLLARS!!! How lucky can one girl be?! :)

Bar Rosso is at 30 Spring Street, Stamford, CT 06901. Great for friends, family and even alone time. :)

Just...because

I poured myself a glass of Chardonnay tonight. I enjoy Chardonnay, especially in the summer. Even though I am open minded and at times even uninhibited, I still tend to be a creature of habit in a lot of ways. I decided I wasn't in the mood for just a glass of Chardonnay. So, for the heck of it, I cut up some nectarines and added them to the glass of wine. I tasted it. It tasted good, but it needed just a little something. I then excitedly remembered I'd purchased a bottle of St. Germain. I added a splash. Voila. Sometimes the best things in life are of the moment, impromptu, spontaneous. #Summertime.
